BRUNO PASQUIER DESVIGNES Currently residing in France, where he was born in 1930, Pasquier-Desvignes has been described by The New York Times as “part tinkerer and part storyteller, a cross between Alexander Calder and Jean Tinguely.” He has lived and worked in multiple cities and countries, including Jamaica, South America, Nepal, and Australia. His previous United States home, located just outside of Hudson, New York, was a virtual gallery full of his innumerable artworks. In 1998, Pasquier-Desvignes traveled to Chile to collaborate with Roberto Edwards on a book, Cuerpos Pintados. Together they started IntegrArte, a program of social integration that recycles the discards of the world into art, inspiring creative discovery throughout entire communities. He remained in South America for 7 years, directing IntegrArte in Chile, Peru, and Argentina. The program has also had a welcome presence in Hudson, NY, and in Hyères, Var in the South of France, where he now lives.
