It may represent an opportunity to take a break from your usual environment- leave obligations at home , concentrate on a special project that needs to be completed, to investigate a special theme, to challenge the routine of one’s life, a time of research and reflection almost like a retreat.

It may as well provide an occasion to meet other artists thanks to the existence of the * »PARCOURS des ARTS » , develop another audience, invite professionals ,in other words: network.  It may offer the set up of a gallery/shop where you can not only show and sell – experiment the contact with the final « customer ».The gallery space is quite small like a lot of other shops nearby but very well located on a corner and with an extremely good visibility(lots of windows) on one of the main pedestrian street -which bring a lot of foot traffic. You will get to know quite a number of locals very rapidly and you will be difficult to miss.

It does definitiveley represent experiencing life in a new location: an immersion in the French culture -a certain way of life in a small town- Depending on the season, it can be quiet or very busy, reasonably cold or quite hot.  You do not have to speak French but it does help!  You are free to choose: either to be totally on your own and just asking for the key or be welcomed.

LM Studio is, in a way, what you want it to be: where it is possible at the same time to live work, show, in the south of France « the French Riviera » in a touristic medieval town alive all year round.  It is not a capital like Paris or London but its location offers a lot.  Not only because of the Villa Noailles and other events; it is internationally known and the place to be for fashion and accessories- photo design and architecture. : but also because of its location between Nice and Marseille
